Rx Partnership celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a day-long series of activities culminating in a "Heart-to-Heart Conversation" with Dr. Sampson Davis.
Dr. Davis is an emergency room physician, public speaker, philanthropist, and New York Times bestselling author. In 2000, he helped found The Three Doctors Foundation, which offers a series of free public programs focused on health, education, leadership, and mentoring.
The conversation hosted by Rx Partnership in May between Dr. Davis and Dr. Kelechi (K.C.) Ogbonna, Dean of the VCU School of Pharmacy, covered issues facing healthcare today such as:
- healthcare gaps, disparities and equity challenges
- engaging in patient-centered care
- the development of the healthcare workforce and our collective responsibility in growing those future leaders
